Insurance Claims Department
The Claims Department deals with claims
on a delegated authority from the Insurance
Company in Gibraltar.
Its role is to validate and negotiate new and existing claims
in accordance with high standards of customer service and
industry guidelines. In order to do this the department will
carry out detailed and in depth indemnity checks, exhausting
all avenues of enquiry before agreeing to deal with a claim.
This growing department currently
consists of a team of experienced handlers.
The department is responsible for
receiving notification and setting up all incoming claims
from Policyholders, Brokers and Third Parties
alike. Upon intimation of a claim, a pro-active approach is
adopted to encourage expeditious settlement of the file in
a professional and fair manner.
The department is focused on the potential economic
issues encountered in the duration of a claim. It is their objective
therefore to ensure that all parties involved in the report
process, namely Policyholders and Brokers, are
aware of the costs that are generated following the report
of an incident. Whilst they aim to settle genuine claims promptly
they also focus heavily on fraudulent and exaggerated claims
and preventing unnecessary costs from being incurred.
The claims department works with the
Policyholders, Brokers and Third Party Claimants
to provide the best service it can and whilst we aim to use
our initiative at all times they are always open to any constructive
suggestions and comments that anybody has which may encourage
us to improve their service.
If necessary, please do not
hesitate to contact the Department Team Leader Wayne Martin
who will be happy to discuss any issues that you have.
